Business Ads Statistics: A Closer Look
Many businesses spend a significant amount of money on advertisements to boost sales, often using sponsored ads on popular platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. However, the effectiveness of these ads can be surprisingly low. One major challenge businesses face is converting ad views into actual sales, particularly when targeting a large audience scattered across different locations.
Some business owners go the extra mile by offering delivery services to reach prospective customers, but even this effort often yields limited results. According to a 2021 survey in the United States, only 51% of respondents reported that social media ads influenced their purchasing decisions, while 49% said they had no impact.
Furthermore, a study on Facebook ads found that a mere 9.21% of ads actually converted to sales across all industries. So, what happens to the remaining 90.79%? Our research identified several key reasons:
A. Some target audiences are interested in the product or service but are deterred by distance.
B. Others may need the product or service but not at the present time.
C. Some individuals simply don't care about the offering.
D. Others may not need the product or service at all.
Research has shown that for most small and medium-sized businesses, top sales come from within their immediate neighborhood. A recent survey by Mart Grocery shop in Hayes, London, illustrates this point. The results revealed that:
A. 70% of sales came from customers within a 2km radius
B. 25% came from customers within a 5km radius
C. Only 5% came from customers living more than 5km away
This finding highlights the importance of local marketing efforts, emphasizing the need for businesses to showcase their products or services to their neighbors and surrounding community.
Why Seemeo?
Humans are inherently social creatures, relying on one another daily for various needs - from bakers and nurses to pharmacists, farmers, transporters, and more. Despite our interconnectedness, we've yet to perfectly solve the problem of easily discovering and accessing local businesses.
For instance, consider Sunshine Salon, newly opened across the street. To attract customers, they need to create awareness. Imagine a platform that allows the salon owner to simply register their business, providing essential information for neighbors to see.
Seemeo is that platform. It not only announces new businesses to neighbors but also showcases them to nearby individuals, enabling them to find and access products and services whenever needed. This is just the beginning of what Seemeo has to offer.
